About Gaby

Hey There!

Being an abstract painter was not something I had ever planned on doing. While I had always loved and admired art, I started my career in the management consulting world. Needless to say, for years my form of artistic expression was making the PowerPoints pretty.

After the birth of my daughter, I embarked upon a journey to find a creative outlet that would help me work through some “baby blues.” Soon after, I fell completely in love with painting, and it wasn’t long before my hobby that had taken over the kitchen table soon grew into much, much more (including two guest bedrooms)! 

As both a collector and now as a creator, I have always had a real love and appreciation for original artwork. My passion for art started early when I backpacked through Europe and collected a piece from a local artist in each country I visited. Bringing an original piece of art into your home, it is the perfect way to showcase your personality and make a space feel uniquely yours!

I am truly captivated by using different mediums, celebrating colors, and the never ending process of creating. I love to work with acrylics and watercolor, but also enjoy the layers of complexity that mixed media brings to the painting. As a detail fanatic, I find my niche is in creating pieces that the more you look, the more complexity and layers you uncover.

I live outside of Washington D.C. in Loudoun County, Virginia with my husband Cory, little girl Ellie and flat-coated retriever, Bosley.
